As Ponsonby Community Centre is on a residential street, we do not hire our rooms out for parties or evening events with alcohol, however children’s parties are welcome!

The rooms and halls at the Ponsonby Community Centre have been named for famous (and infamous) people or places, associated with Ponsonby’s colourful past. Want to know more? check out our History page

Terms and conditions of Hire

Please note the acronyms used in our bookings system mean the following:

PCC – Ponsonby Community Centre (Spaces with PCC after them are at Ponsonby Community Centre, 20 Ponsonby Terrace)

FBCC – Freemans Bay Community Centre (Spaces with FBCC after them are at Freemans Bay Community Centre, 52 Hepburn Street.)

Meeting Room

Hire Rates: $22 per hour
($16.50 per hour for not for profits)

Dimensions: 4 mtrs x 5.1 mtrs
Standing Capacity: 80 people max Seated capacity: Around tables max 6, Lecture style max 10
